The 5th SIC Forum in 2024 will be held as follows.
The SIC Forum is a members-only event. Anyone who belongs to a member company can participate for free.

1. Lecture title: “Distributed PDS and Personal AI”

2. Date and time: Friday, July 19, 2024, 15:00-16:15
          (online) Lecture: 60 minutes, Q&A: 15 minutes

    Distributed Big Data Team Leader,
RIKEN Center for Advanced Intelligence Project

4. Lecture summary:
Personal AI (PAI) is an AI that is dedicated to a specific individual and mediates (selects and executes) various services in response to dialogue with the user using data from a decentralized PDS. Humans can receive various services by speaking to the PAI without operating apps or websites, eliminating the digital divide. Data related to the mediated service is naturally collected in the hands of each PAI user, and by storing it in a decentralized PDS, the PAI can fully utilize the data to maximize the value of the data. Furthermore, the value of each PAI can be evaluated by collecting and analyzing data from many users in the decentralized PDS, and each user can easily switch to a PAI with a high evaluation, so the value of the PAI is guaranteed. In addition, service providers can significantly increase the use of their services by connecting to PAIs via a decentralized PDS. On the other hand, it will no longer be possible to manipulate attention and behavior by exploiting users’ cognitive biases, etc., and this will put an end to the attention economy and surveillance capitalism.

5. Lecturer profile:
