Professor Ayako Kawai

Areas of expertise include supply chain management, operations management, retail distribution services, information systems, modeling, etc.

After graduating from the University of Tsukuba Third School of Social Engineering, engaged in the development and introduction of logistics management information systems at a logistics company.
After that, he entered the Graduate School of Systems and Information Engineering, University of Tsukuba, and conducted research on the integration of production planning and control systems in the supply chain through master’s and doctoral programs.
After obtaining his PhD, he was involved in the development of a service human resource development program in the Service Innovation Project of the same graduate school, and then became an assistant professor in the Faculty of Business Administration at Takachiho University, where he has been in his current position since April 2017.
She is a director of the Japan Operations Management & Strategy Society, a member of the Japan Logistics System Cooperation Ability Development Committee, and a member of the Steering Committee of the CIO Study Group of the Japan Retailers Association.
