SIC Strategy Proposals

About SIC strategy proposal activities

The fact that it is becoming difficult to create good systems in a society where systems play a key role presents a major challenge facing modern society. In particular, in Japan, the degree of social acceptance of horizontal integration, which is necessary to effectively build, operate, and evolve systems, is low compared to other countries. Since its launch five years ago, the System Innovation Center has been raising the theme of horizontal integration and has been stubbornly advocating this from the perspective of the industrial sector. Recently, our arguments have begun to be recognized, and serious discussions have begun on how to build “excellent systems.”
In light of this situation, the System Innovation Center has been working to compile proposals by examining across various fields what kind of systems should be built in Japan today and how Japan’s system structure should be created. Below is the “SIC Strategy Proposal” that was issued from this activity.
We hope that this proposal will become a hub for the efforts of industry, academia, and government to open up the “gained 30 years” that follow the “lost 30 years.”
